My Approach to Therapy

Individual Therapy

My approach to individual therapy is driven by you, the client. Every therapeutic journey is unique and requires an eclectic mix of approaches to help you grow, evolve, and meet your goals. I weave together the transformative insights of Internal Family Systems (IFS), parts work, and the practical tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also practice from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, creating a safe and empathetic environment for anyone I work with.

Client-Centered Therapy forms the heart of our work, honoring your unique experience and fostering an environment where your inherent capacity for self-directed growth takes center stage. We then integrate the profound understanding of Internal Family Systems and parts work, allowing for a nuanced exploration of the various facets within you.

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we address thought and behavior patterns, equipping you with practical strategies to navigate challenges and instigate positive change. The therapeutic alliance is our guiding force, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore, reflect, and unfold at a pace that feels right for you.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or having difficulty coping with life stresses, I’m confident we can make progress towards your goals.

Relationship Therapy

My approach to relationship counseling is based off of the Gottman Method. I am trained in levels 1+2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This unique approach combines evidence-based strategies with a focus on the dynamics within your relationship, creating a space where both partners can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Through structured interventions and assessments, we explore the dynamics within your relationship, identify strengths, and collaboratively address areas that may need attention.

Our work together is not just about resolving conflicts; it's about strengthening the foundation of your relationship. Utilizing the Gottman Method's tools for effective communication, managing conflicts, and fostering intimacy, you will develop practical skills that can lead to a more fulfilling and resilient partnership.

The therapeutic alliance is a crucial aspect of our work, providing a supportive framework for open communication and vulnerability. Together, we navigate the complexities of your relationship to create a roadmap for lasting connection and shared growth.

Welcome to a couples therapy space where evidence-based methods meet empathetic exploration, and where the journey toward a stronger, more connected relationship is guided by the principles of the Gottman Method and a family systems approach.
